Find Your Voice
A supportive, playful approach to singing, confidence, and self-expression.
Meet Your Instructor
Hi, I’m Michael (they/he) — a voice teacher and multi-genre musician. I believe music is one of the most powerful ways we can connect with ourselves and with others.
I hold a Master’s in Music from the Bard College Conservatory, and I’ve performed with ensembles including the Albany Symphony Orchestra, Light Opera Theatre of Sacramento, Boston Opera Collaborative, and Boston Lyric Opera. But teaching is where I’ve found some of the most meaningful parts of my musical life.
I started teaching voice in 2020, when many adults realized they wanted art back in their lives. Since then, I’ve worked with students of all ages — from young beginners to experienced singers — drawing on my background in childcare, tutoring, and performance.
My goal is to create a space where you can explore your voice with curiosity, build confidence, and develop skills that feel grounded in your body. Singing isn’t just about music: it’s about communication, expression, and getting to know yourself more deeply.

Why take voice lessons?
Many people sing long before they ever take a lesson — but having guidance can completely transform how you experience your voice.
In our work together, we focus on three things:
Healthy singing
You’ll learn techniques that support your voice, reduce tension, and help you sing sustainably in any style.
Music as communication
Singing is about expressing something real. We’ll work on how to bring meaning, storytelling, and intention into your music.
Practice as play
Curiosity and experimentation are at the center of every lesson. We try things, make strange sounds, laugh, and discover what works for you.
Over time, students often find their confidence growing — not just in music, but in how they relate to their voice and body.
